Sustainable Living

Ela Excellence Resort accelerated its sustainability efforts in 2023, deepening its mission to be an environmentally conscious business, shaping these goals in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In this regard, the facility has established and certified important international standards such as ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and ISO 50001 Energy Management System. These certifications demonstrate Ela Excellence’s commitment to protecting natural resources, enhancing energy efficiency, and systematizing its environmentally conscious management approach. Additionally, Ela Excellence has made significant progress in sustainability certifications. Travelife and GSTC (Global Sustainable Tourism Council) certifications indicate that the facility has adopted international sustainable tourism practices and aligns with best practices in the field. These certifications cover processes that require continuous improvement and development in various areas, from employee welfare to waste management, in accordance with social and environmental responsibilities.

Biodiversity and Conservation of Ecosystems

Ela Excellence is not limited to environmental management and energy efficiency, but has also taken important steps to protect biodiversity. As a stakeholder in the sea turtle conservation project carried out in Belek for 20 years in cooperation with the Ecological Research Association, it makes significant contributions to the protection of rare and threatened species. This project is an initiative that contributes to the protection of turtle nests, monitoring hatching and sustainable management of the local ecosystem.

Protection of Endemic Plants Project

Ela Excellence, in cooperation with Antok, has initiated the Endemic Plant Conservation Project to be carried out in Beydağları. This project aims to protect the plant species that are unique to Beydağları and to document these species through scientific research. The Beydağları Endemic Plants Book, which will be prepared within the scope of the project, will include the role of these species in the ecosystem, conservation strategies and how they can be supported by sustainable agricultural practices. Ela Excellence aims for this project to be not only a regional but also a national nature conservation initiative, contributing to the efforts to preserve the ecological balance.

Beydağları Birds and Butterflies Research Project

In line with its sustainability mission, Ela Excellence, which addresses biodiversity in a broad perspective, has also implemented the Beydağları Birds and Butterflies Research Project. This project is an important scientific study that aims to inventory the bird and butterfly species in the region, protect their habitats and understand their role in the ecosystem. At the same time, this project aims to develop ecotourism and increase sustainable tourism activities such as nature observation.

Digitalisation and Technology Investments

One of Ela Excellence's sustainability strategies is to use technology effectively in this field. Within the scope of its sustainability targets, it has made significant investments in digitalisation and has produced many solutions to reduce resource consumption. By installing digital monitoring systems in energy and water management, instant monitoring of consumption data is ensured and thus more efficient use of resources is aimed. At the same time, waste management and carbon footprint reduction efforts are also supported by technology investments. In this way, negative impacts on the environment have been minimised and great progress has been made in sustainable tourism practices thanks to digitalisation.
